Job Summary

Manage facility construction projects—renovation and new builds—to support Pratt & Whitney’s Capital Improvement Program from initiation through planning, design, construction, and closeout. Coordinate project schedules and budgets, develop conceptual plans and RFPs, review plans for code compliance, oversee engineering firms, and run submittal and field review processes. Track costs, manage purchase orders and change orders, review invoices, and lead walkthroughs and closeout reviews to ensure safe, standards-compliant delivery.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage and coordinate designated facility construction projects to meet safety, standards, schedule, and funding parameters.
•Develop conceptual plans and budgets; support design/build decisions and create initiation planning documents for management approval.
•Prepare RFPs, conduct meetings, hire construction services, and review plans/specifications for code and project requirement compliance.
•Oversee engineering firm activities (meetings, minutes, action items) and monitor planning and construction phases to ensure proper execution.
•Coordinate planning/design/construction stakeholders, manage budgets and purchase orders/change orders, execute submittals and field reviews, review invoices, and lead project walkthroughs and closeouts.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years, or a Master’s degree and 5+ years of experience in an industrial construction environment.
•Knowledge of facilities planning and construction management processes, including building codes, standards of practice, and construction materials/methods.
•Understanding of cost status for new construction, escalation factors, and market trends.
•Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Projects.
•OSHA 30 Certificate is preferred.
