Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as a hands-on, pragmatic and strategic partner in business and legal decisions.
  • •Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements with customers, suppliers, and other business partners.
  • •Conduct internal investigations in compliance matters.
  • •Analyze legal and regulatory developments and provide solution-oriented advice.
  • •Advise on legal and reputational risks for contemplated transactions, report to management, and support training aligned with company policies.

Key Requirements

  • •Qualified lawyer admitted to the Japanese Bar Association (Bengoshi) or a recognized overseas jurisdiction.
  • •At least 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
  • •Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • •Sound knowledge of Japanese commercial laws and regulations with the ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
  • •Native-level Japanese and business-fluent English, both written and spoken.
