Key Responsibilities

Key Requirements

  • •First university degree in Molecular Biology, Parasitology, Vector Biology, Hosts-Parasites relations, or other related laboratory sciences.
  • •At least 5 years of national and international experience in applied molecular biology focused on surveillance activities for onchocerciasis and other priority NTDs in Africa.
  • •Desirable: Master’s degree and PhD in molecular biology, parasitology, entomology, vector biology, or related laboratory sciences.
  • •Expert knowledge of the epidemiology of onchocerciasis and control/elimination strategies in the African region.
  • •Fluency requirement: expert knowledge of French; intermediate knowledge of English is desirable.
