Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the technical roadmap and drive initiatives from the ground up to develop new products for customers.
  • •Partner with product and cross-team partners to enable international credit card issuing and alignment across squads.
  • •Build and lead systems for credit decisioning, tracking borrowed credit, interest accrual, repayment flows, and related capabilities.
  • •Hire, lead, coach, and mentor a diverse engineering team, removing blockers and setting realistic milestones.
  • •Provide hands-on technical leadership through architectural design, code reviews, and best practices to ensure code quality and maintainability.

Salary: GBP 135,000 - 175,000 annually

  • •Strong background in software engineering designing and building complex, scalable systems.
  • •Experience delivering reliable, robust services in a production environment.
  • •Comfort with complex domains and guiding a team through technical challenges, including distributed systems and technical trade-offs.
  • •Empathetic leader with a track record of mentoring and coaching engineers at all levels.
  • •Experience leading a team in payments/fintech or other complex, high-stakes domains (and ideally global, distributed setups).
