Job Summary

Build, support, and scale internal IT infrastructure systems for Thumbtack’s Internal Tools team. Serve as a primary administrator for tools like Okta, Google Workspace, Atlassian, and Slack, triage and escalate complex IT infrastructure requests, and implement and maintain integrations. Lead identity and access management work (SSO, SCIM, SAML/OAuth), monitor systems health, troubleshoot incidents via on-call, and drive automation and process improvements while maintaining security, governance, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as a primary administrator for Okta, Google Workspace, Atlassian, Slack, and other key SaaS tools.
•Implement and maintain integrations with other platforms/tools, partnering with IT and other teams.
•Triage inbound IT infrastructure requests and serve as an escalation point for the IT Support team for complex issues.
•Monitor systems health, troubleshoot advanced issues, participate in on-call rotation, and run change/incident management.
•Lead security, governance, and compliance processes (least-privilege access, patching, two-factor authentication, VPN) and drive automation and process improvements.

Key Requirements

•4+ years of IT systems experience in a distributed, enterprise IT environment.
•Experience administering core IT platforms including Okta, Google Workspace, Atlassian, and Slack.
•Proficiency building automations with tools like Okta Workflows, Jira Automations, and Slack Workflows.
•Working knowledge of identity and access management systems and protocols (SAML, SCIM, LDAP, OAuth2.0/OIDC).
•Experience with security and compliance practices, including incident response processes and tools.
