Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and evaluate mechanical system designs for a novel advanced reactor design with multidisciplinary teams.
  • •Decompose project objectives into defined design requirements and validate designs meet those requirements.
  • •Establish testing, inspection, and quality requirements to maintain technical features important to system function.
  • •Oversee that fabrication, construction, assembly, and procurement follow the design and applicable codes/regulations.
  • •Maintain configuration management of the technical baseline and ensure consistency across relevant technical documents and procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •BS in mechanical engineering (or directly related) with at least 8 years relevant experience, or MS with at least 6 years; ABET-accredited program.
  • •Must be a United States Citizen.
  • •Proficiency designing systems in accordance with ASME B31 series and BPVC.
  • •Proven experience designing safety-related steel and concrete nuclear structures and pipe supports to ASME B31.
  • •Ability to document electromechanical device designs (drawings, specifications, design descriptions) and apply best-practice design/validation methods.
