Job Summary

Identify and enable cost reductions, cost avoidance, and service improvements at the plant by sourcing third-party services and direct materials. Build strong relationships with internal customers, the local/regional category team, and external suppliers to implement procurement initiatives and processes. Negotiate cost-effective purchasing transactions, manage supplier relationships and performance, coordinate deliveries to minimize operational risk, and provide monthly reporting on savings and key initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

•Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
•Identify and enable opportunities for cost reductions, cost avoidance, and service improvements at the local level.
•Source third-party services and direct materials; negotiate with vendors to achieve cost-effective purchasing while maximizing quality and delivery times.
•Provide monthly reporting on savings, benefits, key initiatives, and projects; work with operations and suppliers to procure at the lowest total cost of ownership.
•Manage delivery of items, supplier relationships and supplier compliance/monitoring, and supplier performance (delivery, quality, and first pass invoice).

Key Requirements

•Minimum 4 years with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, purchasing, accounting, business, or a related field.
•Preferred CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) or a suitable Supply Chain certification.
•Minimum 3 years of experience in sourcing/procurement, preferably in an operational environment.
•Proficient English communication (written, verbal, and listening).
•Knowledge of procurement processes (tendering, data analysis, negotiation, and contracting) and cost analysis.
