Key Responsibilities

  • •Carry out mechanical design activities within a team environment with other engineers.
  • •Collaborate with production and procurement to develop cost-effective, easy-to-manufacture design solutions.
  • •Conduct design validation through hand calculations and support structural/thermal analysis (including FEA familiarity).
  • •Support concept/design reviews (PDR/CDR) and integration/trials as needed.
  • •Monitor compliance against target cost and lead time, and contribute to product development change management with knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Key Requirements

  • •4-8 years of experience in regulated sectors, ideally Space, Defence, or Aerospace.
  • •Working knowledge of CATIA V5 and PLM software (Enovia preferred).
  • •Fundamental understanding of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering principles and engineering development lifecycles.
  • •Ability to perform structural/thermal validation using hand calculations and familiarity with FEA tools.
  • •Experience creating BOMs and managing Engineering Change processes, including manufacturing and drawing standards (e.g., geometric tolerancing best practice).
