Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage daily activities and provide technical oversight to software engineers and project engineers developing, integrating, and testing embedded waveform software in an Agile environment.
  • •Manage project scope, schedule, and budget for software engineering activities using EVMS performance measurement; manage risks/issues and elevate when appropriate.
  • •Oversee and participate in the development of engineering bids and proposals.
  • •Create and implement strategic workforce and staffing plans, including recruiting/hiring and addressing employee performance and career development actions.
  • •Ensure compliance with Collins development processes and standard work requirements, and collaborate across programs/engineering teams to identify efficiencies and best practices.

Key Requirements

  • •Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance, and U.S. citizenship is required.
  • •Experience leading cross-functional technical teams in software development/integration/test with FPGA and Crypto Module integration.
  • •Working knowledge of embedded software development and the use of C++.
  • •Experience with cost account management (EVMS) and schedule management.
  • •Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 10 years relevant experience, or an advanced degree with minimum 7 years relevant experience.
