Job Summary

Design and develop engineering solutions for low to moderately complex products as part of a project team. Own portions of SCADA system design, troubleshoot PLC and Factory Talk/industrial automation components, and create and execute parameter and test plans to debug hardware and validate performance requirements. Maintain detailed procedural records, publish test results, and collaborate with internal and outsourced development partners on electrical hardware design and resolution updates.

Key Responsibilities

•Design portions of SCADA systems and troubleshoot PLC and Factory Talk or other industrial automation and manufacturing operations management (MOM) components.
•Develop and implement parameters and test plans for existing designs to debug defective hardware/electronic units, sub-assemblies, and process steps.
•Create and execute validation plans for tolerances, form/fit/function, shock and vibration, electromagnetic interference, safety, reliability, thermal generation, and system power; publish results.
•Implement remediations across the hardware stack per plan with thorough procedural records and data logs.
•Collaborate and communicate with internal and outsourced development partners; support deviation requests and technical review of supplier quotations.

Key Requirements

•Four-year or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or commensurate work experience demonstrated competence.
•Typically 2-4 years of work experience in electrical design and tools, software packages, electronic hardware architecture, or a related field.
•Experience designing and troubleshooting SCADA systems and PLC/industrial automation components.
•Ability to develop and implement parameters and test plans to debug defective hardware, sub-assemblies, and process steps.
•Technical judgment and attention to detail to validate tolerances and publish test results.
