Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment including electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and road test defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions; use handheld tools and instruments as needed.
  • •Manage parts inventory and maintain the service vehicle, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Complete DOT forms and document repair work on repair orders by uploading photos and findings via company-issued iOS device and the TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as additional degree/certification or 5 years’ experience).
  • •At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Successfully complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical, including maintaining a current valid DOT medical card.
  • •Be at least 21 years old and hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license.
