Job Function: Industrial, Process & Manufacturing Engineering

Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform short-term mine production planning and scheduling, including development design, stope and backfill design, and reconciliation of plan vs. actual.
  • •Conduct mine surveying activities by coordinating with mine engineers, geologists, and operators to define survey scope and ensure survey quality and documentation.
  • •Measure underground features and collect as-built data using Leica equipment, processing surveys with Deswik and AutoCAD and generating 2D/3D maps and as-built plans.
  • •Support engineering work across ventilation, ground control, and ground support engineering, and help optimize techniques for explosives utilization and storage.
  • •Track project costs and assist with budgeting and cost estimations; provide executive summaries and ensure compliance with MSHA, environmental rules, and SOPs.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in mine engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
  • •Relevant mining, metallurgy, or mineral processing industry experience (or equivalent education and experience).
  • •Organizational/planning skills to schedule and prioritize work to meet operational objectives.
  • •Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite and basic AutoCAD skills (AutoCAD or Civil3D training is a plus).
  • •Knowledge of safety, health, and environmental methods, rules, regulations, and procedures.
