Key Responsibilities

  • •Attend roadside assistance calls, assess and diagnose faults, and repair at the scene where safe and possible.
  • •Make safety-led decisions on repair versus recovery and arrange professional recovery or dealer workshop attention when needed.
  • •Own each job end-to-end by communicating clearly with customers, setting expectations, and providing reassurance.
  • •Operate and maintain the fully equipped van, manage tools and parts, follow safety procedures, and keep accurate notes in company systems.
  • •Work to service, safety, and quality standards while efficiently meeting achievable targets with clear financial rewards.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience as a vehicle or roadside technician who can work independently at the scene as the sole decision-maker.
  • •Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills using modern equipment, with sound judgement to choose the safest and fastest way to get customers moving.
  • •Confident, calm customer communication to manage expectations, reassure customers, and prioritize safety.
  • •Comfortable using IT, mobile apps, and diagnostic software with accurate data capture in systems.
  • •Full UK driving licence and relevant technical qualifications; EV credentials are welcome (otherwise complete EV Level 3 IMI and ATA Level 3 roadside diagnostics training).
