Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide strategic HSEQ leadership and professional advice across Citizen Services – Local & Devolved contracts within nominated sectors.
  • •Lead and develop a team of HSEQ Managers, allocating workload and ensuring delivery against business priorities.
  • •Embed HSEQ governance, processes, and action plans at contract level, supporting delivery of the HSEQ strategy.
  • •Oversee HSEQ performance, KPIs, compliance, audits/inspections, and improvement plans; identify, manage, and close risks and actions.
  • •Deputise for the Director of HSEQ when required and produce performance reports to inform senior leadership decision-making.

Key Requirements

  • •NEBOSH National Diploma (or equivalent).
  • •Significant experience in a senior HSEQ role within a complex operational environment.
  • •Experience leading and managing a team or an HSEQ function, developing people and delivering through others.
  • •Strong knowledge of UK health and safety and environmental legislation, applied across operational services.
  • •Experience implementing and improving HSEQ management systems, including understanding ISO standards and auditing/assessments.
