Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead complete projects independently across backend services, APIs, and data pipelines, including experimentation, development, and rollout.
  • •Architect scalable, robust solutions for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency for high-throughput marketing operations.
  • •Identify and solve underlying problems and design abstractions that simplify complexity and improve reusability.
  • •Partner with Marketing and Product stakeholders to influence features and requirements and make trade-offs between complexity, business value, and timelines.
  • •Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and onboarding, and improve team productivity via process improvements and automation.

Salary: CAD 168,000 - 177,500 annually

Key Requirements

  • •5–8 years of software engineering experience with expert-level proficiency in Python for backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
  • •Proven experience leading end-to-end projects including architecture, implementation, experimentation, and production rollout.
  • •Expertise in data integration (Snowflake, SQL, ETL) and workflow orchestration (Airflow, dbt).
  • •Ability to design for performance, scalability, and robustness, including observability (logging, metrics, tracing).
  • •Strong product thinking and communication skills to influence product direction and mentor engineers.
