Job Summary

Build and scale backend services and ETL pipelines for paid marketing execution on the Marketing Enablement & Technology team. Own systems and APIs that power campaign feeds, audience targeting, event pipelines, and QA automation. Lead end-to-end projects with experimentation, rollout, and technical direction, while mentoring engineers and partnering with Marketing, Operations, and Product to shape technical strategy.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead complete projects independently across backend services, APIs, and data pipelines, including experimentation, development, and rollout.
•Architect scalable, robust solutions for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency for high-throughput marketing operations.
•Identify and solve underlying problems and design abstractions that simplify complexity and improve reusability.
•Partner with Marketing and Product stakeholders to influence features and requirements and make trade-offs between complexity, business value, and timelines.
•Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and onboarding, and improve team productivity via process improvements and automation.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 168,000 - 177,500 annually

Key Requirements

•5–8 years of software engineering experience with expert-level proficiency in Python for backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
•Proven experience leading end-to-end projects including architecture, implementation, experimentation, and production rollout.
•Expertise in data integration (Snowflake, SQL, ETL) and workflow orchestration (Airflow, dbt).
•Ability to design for performance, scalability, and robustness, including observability (logging, metrics, tracing).
•Strong product thinking and communication skills to influence product direction and mentor engineers.
