Install and repair telematics systems and devices on vehicles, construction and heavy equipment, and customer assets at EquipmentShare’s rental facility in De Witt, IA. You’ll handle everything from basic power/ignition/ground setups to complex wiring harness work with CAN networks, troubleshoot issues, and integrate communications between keypad and telematics. The role includes travel to client sites and rental yards, overtime potential, and on-call scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

•Install telematics systems and devices on vehicles, construction equipment, heavy equipment, and customer assets.
•Operate machinery as needed during installation for testing and troubleshoot installation issues by gathering/analyzing information.
•Remove and replace ignition systems and integrate communication between keypad/controller and telematics systems.
•Handle installation scenarios from basic power/ignition/ground to complex custom wiring harness work involving CAN network access.
•Travel to client sites and EquipmentShare rental yards within a 250-mile radius as needed for installation cases.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent (Trade School Certificate preferred).
•Mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills using tools; hard-working with strong attention to detail.
•Experience in a related field (e.g., electrician, HVAC tech, car audio installer).
•Ability to drive, maneuver in tight spaces, bend/squat, walk long distances, and lift more than 25 lb.
•Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check (10-panel drug screen for safety-sensitive role).
