Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with Design as the technical specialist: attend raw material meetings, provide feasibility feedback, and brainstorm solutions to translate the design vision into product.
  • •Develop and maintain vendor relationships, building knowledge of vendor capability and availability to meet demand.
  • •Research and develop new raw material concepts and technologies (including samples, colourways, and collaboration with mills).
  • •Agree and implement the raw material development critical path with Product Development and Design teams, managing deadlines and risks to drive completion.
  • •Order and deliver raw materials on time, within quality and cost targets, and ensure products are fit for customer, brand, and business through ongoing risk assessment.

Key Requirements

  • •Ability to partner with designers and technicians to interpret creative aesthetic and translate it to teams and vendors.
  • •Technical capability and product knowledge to influence design, including leather and fabric processing and testing/QC fundamentals.
  • •Experience managing vendor relationships and delivering clear briefs to meet demand.
  • •Critical path management to deliver collections on time, identify risks/challenges, and recommend mitigations.
  • •Computer skills including PLM and Excel.
