Key Responsibilities

  • •Diagnose vehicle issues by performing inspections and tests and identifying worn or damaged parts.
  • •Perform maintenance and repairs including preventive service, part replacements, system overhauls, adjustments, alignments, and upgrades.
  • •Ensure compliance and performance through test drives, system checks, and adherence to safety, engine, and emissions standards.
  • •Maintain documentation and equipment by recording repairs, managing inventory, and troubleshooting shop equipment.
  • •Support department goals by controlling costs, staying current through training and technical publications, and adding value to operations.

Key Requirements

  • •Valid Driver’s License.
  • •Diagnose and repair diesel engines (and understand gasoline engines for mixed-fleet roles).
  • •Proficiency with electrical, brake, suspension/steering, transmission/drivetrain, cooling, and HVAC systems.
  • •Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and performing routine fleet maintenance like oil changes and tire rotations.
  • •Ability to communicate with supervisors/customers/technicians and write repair/service orders, including lifting 50–75 pounds and having your own tools.
