Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, operate, and maintain electrical systems for Starship.
  • •Develop analog and digital circuits from first principles for extreme environments and support hardware through production, integration, and flight.
  • •Develop high-reliability avionics components and lead system trades, requirements, schematic capture, prototyping, bring-up, debugging, analysis, testing, documentation, manufacturing support, and flight support.
  • •Participate in conceptual development of automated equipment and processes for Starship production and troubleshoot issues hands-on.
  • •Design and operate Starbase microgrids, create sitewide power budgets and metering, and ensure compliance with NFPA 70, 70B, 70E, NESC, and IEEE standards.

Key Requirements

  • •Graduating with a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or PhD in 2027.
  • •Degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or another engineering discipline.
  • •1+ years of electrical experience with power systems, automation & controls, or board and sensor design.
  • •Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.
  • •Meet ITAR requirements by being a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, a refugee/asylee, or eligible to obtain required authorizations.
