Serve as a trusted legal advisor to the SpaceXAI business on sanctions and export control compliance for frontier AI services. Build and streamline trade compliance processes, manage documentation and restricted party screening, and advise on contract terms for AI services and procurement. Coordinate with U.S. government agencies, investigate potential non-compliance matters, and support cross-functional teams with practical, business-oriented guidance.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide expert advice on economic sanctions (OFAC) and export controls (BIS) for SpaceXAI services.
•Manage sanctions and export control compliance documentation, including policies, trainings, dashboards, metrics, and restricted party screening.
•Continuously improve forms, policies, and processes to streamline and scale compliance for AI services and datacenter projects.
•Advise business teams on sanctions and export control compliance terms in commercial contracts and procurement.
•Coordinate with U.S. government agencies and investigate potential non-compliance, including corrective actions and internal reports to senior management.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 190,000 - 245,000 annually

Key Requirements

•JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
•5+ years of trade compliance experience, specifically sanctions and export controls.
•Must be admitted to the bar, in good standing, in at least one U.S. State.

•Experience advising on AI, machine learning, advanced computing, semiconductors, and other related dual-use technologies under U.S. export control regimes.
