Job Summary

Maintain and repair production equipment, heavy trucks, and special-purpose machinery on the assigned shift. Install, adjust, and repair components using hand and power tools; perform welding and cutting as required. Troubleshoot malfunctioning machinery, determine needed repairs, and coordinate approval. Key Responsibilities

•Install, adjust, and repair production equipment, heavy trucks, and special-purpose machines as assigned.
•Operate hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, and change parts.
•Weld and use a cutting torch as required.
•Test and troubleshoot malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs, and coordinate approval with the Head Mechanic.
•Replace faulty parts and electrical components (wires, motors, controls, circuit boards) and install/test equipment for proper functioning.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma/equivalent, or comparable training, education, or experience.
•Technical or vocational school certification (or equivalent training/experience).
•Ability to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals and follow step-by-step procedures.
•Mechanical aptitude and skill using hand and power tools.
•Preferred: knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics, electricity, and carpentry, plus bilingual ability in English and Spanish.
