Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join WSP in New Plymouth. You’ll lead site investigations, analysis, reporting, design, and construction observation for buildings, roads, water, and structures, and help grow geotechnical capacity in the New Plymouth office and wider Taranaki region. Requires NZ design code knowledge, a full NZ driver’s licence, and 7+ years of related experience.

Job Function: Construction, Civil & Site Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct site investigations, analyze data, prepare reports, and assist with design for projects in buildings, roads, water, and structures.
•Provide construction observation services to ensure works meet design specifications.
•Grow and develop geotechnical engineering capacity in the New Plymouth office and wider Taranaki / Manawatu-Whanganui Region.
•Collaborate with clients and project teams to deliver consultancy services.
•Ensure adherence to New Zealand design codes and standards and maintain quality in deliverables.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Engineering or Master of Engineering in Geotechnical Engineering
•Experience with New Zealand design codes and standards
•Full, clean NZ driver’s licence
•Preferably minimum of 7 years’ professional experience in a related discipline
•Experience providing consultancy services (site investigations, analysis, reporting, design, and construction observation)
