Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor flows of buy items and ensure component availability to avoid material shortages and production downtime.
  • •Perform timely, cost-conscious procurement of production/inventory/MRO items; analyze requisitions for quantity, specs, and delivery requirements.
  • •Maintain inventory levels, safety stock, and up-to-date ABC classification; manage material plan at the time fence for continuity of supply.
  • •Recommend/select suppliers from approved lists, onboard new suppliers, and maintain supplier performance with escalation to Procurement as needed.
  • •Resolve supplier issues including quality coordination, shortage root-cause/corrective actions, and invoicing discrepancies; provide customer promise dates based on material and capacity availability.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 3 years planner/buyer manufacturing experience.
  • •APICS (CPIM) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • •Knowledge of industry supply base, supplier processes, and capabilities.
  • •Skilled in production and supplier scheduling, including rate-based/flow line and job shop environments.
  • •Computer proficient with ERP and Microsoft Office applications.
