Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and execute a 1–3-year sales and market penetration strategy for eBooks, journals, and Open Access across Brazil and Latin America.
  • •Drive Open Research revenue through proactive engagement with key prospects and institutions.
  • •Achieve and exceed annual sales targets with a focus on new business acquisition.
  • •Identify and pursue new customers and business development opportunities across the region, building and maintaining a sales pipeline.
  • •Conduct prospecting visits and sales calls (50% travel expected) and engage stakeholders at conferences to promote Open Research.

Key Requirements

  • •5–7 years of successful hunter-focused new business development and sales experience with a record of exceeding targets.
  • •Strong understanding of academic publishing, the Open Research landscape, and the wider book trade.
  • •Experience selling open access, journals, and eBooks into academic library markets (highly desirable).
  • •Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, with the ability to negotiate and present in all three languages.
  • •Ability to analyze complex information and make data-driven decisions while working independently and proactively.
