Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using approved CAM software to support production and prototype machining needs.
  • •Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and associated equipment to manufacture components in accordance with engineering drawings, models, and specifications.
  • •Review and interpret technical documentation—including blueprints, 3D CAD data, process instructions, and GD&T requirements—to determine the correct machining approach.
  • •Select appropriate tooling, work holding, and machining parameters to ensure repeatability, accuracy, and manufacturability across multiple materials.
  • •Document setups, program revisions, and process notes in accordance with CAE configuration control and manufacturing documentation standards.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent; postsecondary technical certificate or apprenticeship strongly preferred.
  • •3+ years of CNC programming and/or CNC machine operation in a production environment.
  • •Proficiency in G-code programming and CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or equivalent).
  • •Strong understanding of machining fundamentals, blueprint reading, and GD&T per ASME standards.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required.
