Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop mechanical auxiliary system equipment to meet established requirements and participate in design reviews.
  • •Create optimized detail designs and present designs in design reviews.
  • •Translate mechanical auxiliary system/equipment designs into manufacturable solutions and incorporate required changes.
  • •Support integration, validation, and qualification activities (including safety and regulatory requirements).
  • •Identify design integration/delivery risks and provide recommendations; act as supplier primary point of contact when needed.
  • •Attend the Osborne shipyard and supplier sites as needed to oversee design implementation, testing, and production.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong background in the design, maintenance, and troubleshooting of piping and/or fluid transfer systems.
  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Aeronautical Engineering (or experience gained in lieu of a degree).
  • •Experience developing mechanical designs, participating in design reviews, and performing design analysis and solution implementation.
  • •Experience supporting integration, validation, and qualification testing of mechanical auxiliary systems/equipment.
  • •Defence security clearance eligibility to obtain/maintain one (ITAR International Traffic in Arms Regulations apply).
