Job Summary

Serve as a technical expert in 3GPP Radio Access Network (RAN) working groups, representing the company’s interests across 5G/6G, NTN, spectrum evolution, network architecture, and physical-layer design. Present, negotiate, and defend technical contributions; draft and submit proposals; and analyze mobility, signaling/protocol features, and ASN.1 artifacts. Translate 3GPP outcomes into actionable internal requirements while coordinating with engineering, RF design, regulatory, and product teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as the subject matter expert in the 3GPP RAN2 and RAN3 Working Groups.
•Present, negotiate, and defend company contributions and proposals aligned with product and regulatory goals.
•Draft, review, and submit technical contributions across 5G/6G NR, 5G/6G NTN, RAN architecture, spectrum bands, and performance evaluation.
•Provide detailed technical analysis including mobility features, control/user plane signaling and protocol analysis, and ASN.1 maintenance.
•Track timelines and release planning, communicate meeting outcomes internally, and partner with system engineering, RF design, regulatory, and product teams to align roadmaps.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline.
•6+ years of experience with cellular RAN design and/or system architecture.
•4+ years of experience working with/on 3GPP standardization.
•Deep expertise in radio access (RAN) technologies and practical experience developing products or participating in standardization.
•Able to represent the company’s technical interests through diplomacy and advocacy in an international standards environment.
