Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee the WC program by directing/monitoring third-party administrators (TPAs) and serving as the primary CarMax point of contact
  • •Audit claims to ensure TPAs deliver quality support to injured associates and CarMax, and facilitate internal compliance with WC regulations and company policies
  • •Manage individual WC cases by providing TPA case information, recommending claim strategies, and reviewing/approving settlements and resolutions
  • •Consult with TPA, in-house counsel, and outside counsel on litigated claims, and provide updated reports for Long Term Disability, Short Term Disability, Leave of Absence, and ADA programs
  • •Support stores, regional teams, and Home Office by responding to associate questions, providing medical care and prescription-filling guidance, and coordinating transitional duty
