Job Summary

Design, develop, document, and test mechanical systems for next-generation neutral atom quantum computers. Build detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings in Autodesk Inventor, apply DfM/DfA and GD&T, and support inspection, assembly, and installation of quantum computer modules. Specify and prepare prototypes for product testing and validation, collaborate cross-functionally with engineers and physicists, and help maintain technical documentation and engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Identify issues during testing and development, recommend solution options and tradeoffs, and implement solutions.
•Help with inspection, assembly, and installation of quantum computer modules.
•Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
•Specify, design, procure, and prepare prototypes; assist with product testing and validation.
•Support technical documentation (design requirements/specifications, drawings, assembly instructions, and test reports).

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 30 - 40 hourly

Key Requirements

•Progress towards a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
•Prior internship/Co-Op experience in Mechanical Engineering.
•Experience with 3D CAD software (preferably Autodesk Inventor) and a PDM software (preferably Autodesk Vault).
•Understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
•Familiarity with product lifecycle management and configuration management processes.
