Job Summary

Supervise and coordinate asphalt paving crews, ensuring safe work practices and compliance with health and safety standards while protecting the public. Maintain high-quality workmanship across highways, streets, parking lots, and driveways, training new crew members and directly supervising asphalt paving employees. Plan production by studying schedules, estimating work requirements, calculating truck needs, touring sites for progress and contract compliance, and maintaining time and materials records for daily job costing.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure health and safety standards are met and promote a safe work environment for crew and the public.
•Ensure quality standards for completed paving work.

Key Requirements

•3 to 5 years of related asphalt and paving experience (or equivalent education/training).
•Experience in private/commercial paving, including training and experience in M.O.T.
•Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
•Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos; type and use keyboards accurately; knowledge of database software.
•Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently; keep time and materials records; follow instructions and communicate effectively.
