Job Summary

Drive a mixer truck equipped with an auxiliary concrete mixer to deliver concrete mix safely to job sites. Inspect the truck daily, comply with DOT licensing, vehicle inspection, and hours-of-service rules, and follow instructions using maps and paperwork. Load concrete by backing under batching or a loading hopper, monitor consistency from the mixer, and support unloading by safely maneuvering to delivery points. Clean and prepare the truck and drum per company standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Comply with Department of Transportation requirements, including licensing, vehicle inspection, and hours of service.
•Inspect the truck at the start of each workday and complete the Driver Check-off Sheet.
•Drive to job sites for unloading and maneuver the truck safely to the point of delivery.
•Back under batching/loading hoppers to receive concrete and monitor the load for consistency and amount while inspecting the drum for cleanliness.
•Clean the truck and drum after loading and delivery, including spraying surfaces with an acid compound per company standards.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED required.
•Must have a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

•Ability to read and interpret safety rules, delivery tickets, and operating/maintenance instructions, and write routine reports.
