Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage high-quality technical advisory work across engineering disciplines and interfaces for solar PV/wind projects.
  • •Provide technical input from initial assessment through technical/economic feasibility and integration needs with other electrical/generating plants.
  • •Review designs and deliver technical specifications, bills of materials, tender stage management, and evaluations including Balance of Plant, O&M, EPC, and supply contract support.
  • •Perform technical due diligence and feasibility evaluations to support acquisitions, financing, investments, and business development opportunities; liaise with legal/financial advisors.
  • •Conduct technical and contractual risk assessments across the project lifecycle, monitor portfolio performance, and support performance guarantees, acceptance testing, and performance improvement initiatives.
Travel: Extensive travel

Key Requirements

  • •B.Eng or BTech in Engineering (preference: EEE, ECE/Mech).
  • •4–8 years of experience in renewable energy, solar PV and wind (mix of South African REIPPP and regional overseas experience preferred).
  • •In-depth field expertise in solar PV/BESS/wind turbine technologies, including emerging technologies.
  • •Experience with renewable energy contracts (e.g., EPC, PPA, O&M, TSIA) and contractor management approaches.
  • •Technical advisory experience for investors, project developers, and banks; ECSA registration or equivalent country registration required.
