Job Summary

Senior Pavement Engineer to join a multidisciplinary pavement engineering and construction materials team, working across airports, ports and highways. Lead technical tasks, deliver pavement design and materials work, assess standards, review colleagues’ work, and contribute to scope, resourcing and site activities within a flexible hybrid environment at a global infrastructure firm.

Key Responsibilities

•Leading technical tasks or small work packages within larger projects.
•Delivering pavement design, assessment, back analysis, and materials related work with limited supervision.
•Independently interrogating standards, specifications, and guidance, forming a technical view before seeking peer input where appropriate.
•Reviewing and checking technical work produced by Engineers and, where appropriate, other Senior Engineers.
•Providing technical input to scope definition, fee estimates, and resourcing discussions.

Key Requirements

•Engineering degree or equivalent, with demonstrable progress towards Chartership is highly valued.
•Established professional experience in pavement engineering and construction materials across airports, ports, highways or related infrastructure, either as a strong generalist or with a recognised technical specialism.
•Comfortable engaging in technical discussions with clients and project teams.
•Ability to operate independently at Senior Engineer level and show technical judgement when information is incomplete.
•Experience delivering pavement design, assessment, back analysis and materials-related work with limited supervision.
