Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver day-to-day technical transport planning inputs into development planning projects.
  • •Develop transport strategies, parking strategies, and inputs into masterplans across client projects.
  • •Support private-sector clients through the planning process and assist public-sector clients with transport and parking strategy development and scheme development.
  • •Provide project management and leadership on small to medium projects and help senior colleagues on complex multidisciplinary projects.
  • •Mentor Early Career Professionals and share technical expertise within the team.

Key Requirements

  • •Lead technical work on Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, access strategy work, parking strategies, sustainable transport, and active travel provision using guidance such as NPPF and Manual for Streets.
  • •Prepare traffic flow information for Transport Assessments and/or Environmental Statements.
  • •Set up and run junction capacity modelling software such as Junctions 10 and Linsig, including understanding inputs, outputs, and scenario testing.
  • •Be able to undertake project management for small to medium scale projects (e.g., budget planning, resource planning, invoicing).
  • •Be an experienced Transport Planner with technical knowledge and hands-on post graduate experience, ideally pursuing or holding chartered status in a transport-related discipline.
