Key Responsibilities

•Implement and maintain Golden Path templates, reusable patterns, and reference implementations aligned to HSBC ways of working.
•Produce worked examples from real HSBC projects and contribute code, pipelines, and automation to reduce friction in onboarding and repeatable delivery.
•Improve self-service onboarding journeys so teams can progress without 1:1 handholding; create and maintain onboarding guides, operational guidance, and runbook-style content.
•Participate in developer feedback channels; triage developer pain points into items DevRel can build/fix or drive to owning pillar/teams; track issues to closure.
•Write and maintain high-quality platform documentation (onboarding, how-tos, troubleshooting, reference material) and ensure new/updated assets ship with documentation as part of “Definition of Done”.

Key Requirements

•Proficiency in Java, Kotlin or Node JS.
•Strong communication across all levels of seniority.
•Solid understanding of production readiness fundamentals (security, resilience, observability, supportability) to create credible examples and guidance.
•Hands-on experience delivering production-grade systems (app platform experience a plus).
•Practical experience improving developer experience through standardisation and automation, including “make the easy thing the right thing”.
