Lead teams in building Visa’s Acceptance Platform—secure, high-performing distributed systems delivered via open, composable, modular APIs. •Lead the design, implementation, and deployment of secure, reliable, robust, and interoperable payment acceptance products.
•Remain hands-on with architecture, design reviews, code reviews, technical troubleshooting, production readiness, and critical delivery decisions.
•Provide engineering leadership to align solutions with platform principles, architecture standards, and operational excellence expectations.
•Define and execute technical strategy for payment processing and acceptance platforms in line with product vision and long-term platform evolution.
•Apply AI/ML and Generative AI to improve engineering productivity and business outcomes, and coach/mentor engineers and engineering leaders.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•10+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 13+ years of relevant work experience.
•12+ years with a Bachelor’s, or 8-10 years with an advanced degree, or 6+ years with a PhD.
•Demonstrated experience leading software engineering teams with people management, coaching, performance development, and delivery accountability.
•Deep experience designing, building, and operating mission-critical distributed systems requiring high availability, scalability, resiliency, and security.
•Strong proficiency across modern software engineering practices including API design, system design, testing, deployment, and operational excellence.
