Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join a professional kitchen within a retirement village setting. You’ll prepare and cook meals to high food-safety standards, accommodate residents’ dietary needs, and contribute to a welcoming dining environment. You’ll work on hotplates, manage perishable ingredients, and collaborate with the team to deliver excellent dining experiences across shifts, with induction and ongoing development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

•Cater to residents across the Village and care home, preparing and cooking food to high hygiene standards
•Prepare and cook food in accordance with food hygiene regulations
•Be aware of residents’ dietary needs and respond to menu comments/requests
•Assist in preparation and serving of meals on the hotplate when required
•Maintain a clean, hygienic working area and ensure safe dining environment

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 27,872 annually

Key Requirements

•NVQ or City & Guilds equivalent and CIEH Level 2 Food Safety Award or equivalent
•Experience in a professional kitchen, ideally catering for special dietary requirements

•Ability to work in a busy service and maintain high standards while staying calm
