Key Responsibilities

  • •Own large backend components, services, or projects end to end, coordinating across teams when scope crosses boundaries.
  • •Design high-complexity solutions with availability, reliability, and long-term maintainability as primary constraints.
  • •Build and evolve backend services in Go and data/automation tooling in Python, including APIs and event pipelines.
  • •Serve as primary driver during production issues: lead response, run post-mortems, and own the long-term fix.
  • •Perform greenfield work, guide design discussions, and mentor engineers while improving tooling, testing, and deployment practices.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant professional experience building and operating production backend systems, with deep working knowledge of Go and Python.
  • •Strong grasp of how a large codebase and its services fit together, beyond individual components.
  • •Proven ability to own systems at scale, including monitoring, on-call, incident response, and post-mortems.
  • •Experience designing distributed systems and APIs, with sound judgment on data modeling, failure modes, and performance tradeoffs.
  • •Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and leading technical design discussions.
