Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and maintain constructive labor-management relationships with the APA through open communication and collaborative problem-solving.
  • •Ensure compliance with the collective bargaining agreement and applicable labor laws and regulatory requirements, including administration, interpretation, and application of pilot labor agreements.
  • •Resolve labor disputes and complex team member relations matters through negotiation of practical, sustainable solutions with union representatives and management.
  • •Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders across corporate departments, providing timely and strategic guidance on labor and employment matters.
  • •Provide leadership to Labor Relations team members and oversee grievance administration and dispute resolution processes, including mediation, system boards, and arbitration proceedings.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Industrial Relations) or equivalent experience/training.
  • •7 years of experience in Labor Relations, or operational/strategic leadership at an airline.
  • •Experience with collective bargaining agreements, negotiations, and serving as a company representative during arbitration, litigation, and/or government hearings.
  • •Experience in early dispute resolution strategy.
  • •Ability and willingness to travel, as necessary.
