Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and perform experiments on SAP data for machine translation using (fine-tuned) large language models.
  • •Prepare training data for machine translation, including data cleaning, collection, and data quality assurance.
  • •Adapt open-source NLP tools (e.g., sentence segmentation, term recognition) for use in an SAP context.
  • •Conduct data preparation, annotation (if necessary), training, and evaluation for machine translation tasks.

Key Requirements

  • •Currently enrolled student at a university or university of applied sciences, preferably in Computer Science or Computational Linguistics.

  • •Knowledge of machine translation, large language models, and machine learning; practical LLM experience (e.g., OpenAI APIs or fine-tuning a Llama model) is preferred.
  • •Experience with NLP tools such as Stanford CoreNLP/stanza and Huggingface Transformers; experience with supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning of LLMs is ideal.
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (German is a plus).
