Job Summary

Lead investigations and regulatory actions for the FSRA within ADGM, overseeing complaints, referrals, and complex investigations into potential contraventions. Manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with internal/external regulators to enforce rules, develop enforcement strategies, and deliver high-quality briefs and recommendations for enforcement actions.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct regulatory investigations, referral assessments, complaints assessments, mutual assistance matters and regulatory action proceedings.
•Manage and conduct complex investigations into suspected contraventions of FSRA regulations and rules; prepare briefs of evidence and recommendations for regulatory action.
•Prepare detailed progress reports, assessment reports and briefs of evidence; collaborate with FSRA Legal on regulatory action proceedings.
•Assist in developing and delivering the Enforcement Department’s strategy and operational plan; contribute to policy development and procedures.
•Engage with internal and external stakeholders (UAE and international regulators) to exchange information and coordinate cross-border investigations.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's or Master's degree in law, forensic accounting, or a relevant discipline; professional certifications in anti-money laundering and fraud prevention preferred.
•Minimum 8-10+ years of regulatory enforcement and/or investigation experience, or a combination of regulatory, law enforcement or industry experience in virtual assets investigations.
•Sound knowledge of regulatory enforcement practices and financial services regulation; ability to conduct complex investigations.
•Proven ability to prepare formal recommendations, briefs of evidence, and to pursue regulatory action; strong stakeholder management.
•Excellent written and oral English skills; proficiency in Arabic would be an advantage; ability to build and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
