Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform repairs and maintenance on diesel-powered vehicles in a safe manner.
  • •Follow safety rules and regulations for MSHA/OSHA/DOT and Pennsy Supply, and conduct daily safety assignments (area inspections, pre-shifts, JSA’s, TRACK).
  • •Examine vehicles to determine needed repairs in the shop and on the road.
  • •Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment, disassemble units, inspect parts for wear, and replace components such as lights, brakes, bearings, and springs.
  • •Service gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and engine oils, control repair costs, and keep the shop clean (including emptying oil and trash containers).
