Job Summary

Maintain and repair construction and mechanical equipment across the operation, including trucks, trailers, batch plants, paving machines, bulldozers, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and conveyor systems. Troubleshoot problems, dismantle equipment to remove defective parts, perform preventative maintenance (oil changes, greasing, fluids, filters), repair electrical/hydraulic systems and powertrains, and weld broken components while keeping the work area clean and organized.

Key Responsibilities

•Troubleshoot mechanical problems and make economical, durable repairs.
•Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists and hand tools.
•Maintain and repair heavy equipment, trucks, shops, and non-mobile equipment.
•Perform vehicle/equipment service including oil changes, greasing, adding fluids, changing filters, and preventative maintenance.
•Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel/gasoline engines, transmissions, and drive trains, including adjusting controls and starting devices to test performance.

Key Requirements

•3-5 years of experience in mechanics or a related field.
•High school diploma or GED preferred.
•Must be able to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
•Must be able to perform basic math for measurement (add, subtract, multiply, divide) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
•Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.
