Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide expert technical support for Epiroc trackless mining equipment, including commissioning, fault diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • •Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment reliability, availability, and operational performance.
  • •Conduct advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and machine audits, including RigScan assessments, to develop solutions that prevent recurring failures.
  • •Support breakdown response and major machine repairs, including critical component planning and warranty claim processes to minimize customer downtime.
  • •Deliver technical guidance and training to operators, artisans, and maintenance personnel, and maintain technical reports and equipment performance analyses while supporting safety, risk, and compliance activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Grade 12 / Matric plus a Section 26D Trade Test qualification in Diesel Mechanic, Earthmoving Mechanic, Millwright, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or a related trade.
  • •Engineering National N Diploma (N6) is advantageous.
  • •Minimum 5 years’ experience maintaining mining or drilling equipment, with Epiroc equipment experience strongly advantageous.
  • •Strong technical expertise in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • •Valid driver’s licence and medical fitness for mine-site work, with willingness to work underground when required.
