Evaluate equipment and systems for code compliance, technology selection, and scope, while driving best practices via knowledge management, standards, training, and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide mechanical engineering design and technical expertise to optimize operations across multiple Ingredion facilities.
•Support mechanical design of utilities and process equipment, including troubleshooting and optimization.
•Evaluate and review equipment and mechanical systems designs to ensure safety, code compliance, and best practices.
•Evaluate proposed projects for optimal technology selection, correct sizing, scope inclusion, budget estimates, and alignment to business objectives.
•Lead multi-disciplinary teams and drive knowledge management by authoring standards, developing best operating practices, and mentoring early-career engineers.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering (or related) with equivalent experience.
•Extensive mechanical engineering experience in plant manufacturing, including multi-site, regional, or global experience.
•Demonstrated knowledge of bulk solids material handling, liquid/slurry movement, high-inertia rotating equipment, and primary utilities such as boilers and air compressors.
•Experience with equipment and systems sizing, design, fabrication, troubleshooting, and failure analysis.
•Ability to author and disseminate engineering standards and apply knowledge of mechanical technology such as strength of materials, machine design, and fluid mechanics.
