Operate and adjust numerically controlled tape laminator equipment to produce aerospace components with precise setups and adherence to established shop practices. Review work and setup documents, prepare machines and materials, retrieve and load CNC programs, set coordinates and offsets, and monitor operation while performing quality checks. Handle hazardous materials safely, follow safety and regulatory compliance, and ensure parts meet stringent specifications in an onsite fabrication environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Independently operate and adjust CNC tape laminator machines according to shop practices and procedures.
•Review production orders and setup documents, access blueprints/drawings, and prepare for job setup.
•Retrieve and download CNC programs to the machine controller, set coordinates, adjust offsets and tool heights, and configure settings.
•Run the machine to lay composite material plies, perform hand trimming/rework, and monitor for vibrations/sounds and warnings.
•Perform quality checks after each operation and handle/dispose of hazardous materials using required PPE.
