Job Summary

Lead the research, development, design, and validation of electrical equipment and automated test-cell systems. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders, analyze technical requirements and feasibility, design electrical/automated components and software, and oversee implementation of new technologies across systems. In Longueuil onsite, you’ll also ensure engineering standards and quality requirements are met and provide technical training to junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead research, development, design, and validation of electrical equipment and systems with stakeholders to meet objectives and specifications.
•Represent the organization in meetings and cross-functional activities to present and defend technical recommendations and agreements.
•Provide technical training and mentorship to junior engineers and other technical professionals.
•Ensure compliance with established engineering standards, methods, and quality requirements.
•Analyze technical requirements, design electrical/automated systems and related software, develop implementation schedules, and coordinate installation, maintenance, operations, and modifications.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation Engineering.
•Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
•Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience.
•Experience programming PLCs (Allen-Bradley) and HMIs (Wonderware InTouch).
•Knowledge of databases and industrial networking, instrumentation/measurement systems, and the Canadian Electrical Code for buildings.
