Maintain and optimize the Newark facility's utility systems (boilers, chillers, compressors, cooling towers, fire protection, process support). Ensure safe, reliable operation; monitor logs; partner with maintenance, engineering, production and QHSE; support preventive and corrective maintenance; maintain CMMS histories; uphold safety standards and drive reliability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain high on-time reliability of the facility’s utilities including steam boilers, chillers, air compressors, cooling towers, process water systems, hot oil systems, plant fire protection systems, and hot glycol systems.
•Monitor boiler operations and maintain required logs; identify and correct boiler operating problems.
•Monitor daily utility equipment operations and ensure correction of mechanical issues; monitor plant fire systems and implement required PM.
•Support maintenance in repairs of minor process equipment; maintain containment ponds with QHSE and CMMS histories.
•Troubleshoot and correct the facility’s utility systems problems in conjunction with production and engineering; ensure safety policies and regulatory requirements are followed.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 57,000 - 75,000 annually

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Blue Seal high pressure steam boiler operator license.
•Minimum 5 years of experience in a chemical plant environment.
•Experience with plant services including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, and hot oil systems.
•Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance techniques; strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience.
