Job Summary

Manage the company’s SOX compliance program and serve as a subject matter expert for internal controls over financial reporting. Coordinate ongoing SOX projects with Internal Audit, external auditors, and business process owners, including mapping, scoping, risk assessment, and control documentation updates. Drive remediation of control deficiencies, support audits, produce status reporting for leadership and the Audit Committee, and deliver SOX training to business process owners.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage the company’s SOX compliance program and ensure internal controls over financial reporting are designed and implemented.
•Own ongoing SOX project management, coordinating Internal Audit, external auditors, and business process owners.
•Drive SOX mapping, scoping, and risk assessments with cross-functional teams to evaluate impacts to control design and operating effectiveness.
•Coordinate updates and reviews of management’s SOX process controls documentation and support entity-level control documentation and evaluations.
•Manage remediation of control deficiencies and maintain communications with external auditors, delivering status reporting and dashboards for leadership and the Audit Committee.

Key Requirements

•Equivalent to a four-year college degree plus 3 years related experience and/or training, and 3 years related management experience (or an equivalent combination).
•Broad knowledge of accounting, finance, and business administration, with the ability to work with financial reporting and compliance materials.
•Ability to write reports and policy/procedure manuals and effectively present and respond to questions from managers and stakeholders.
•Ability to perform critical thinking tasks such as defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing conclusions.
•Proficiency with PC and business software, including Excel and presentation/spreadsheet tools.
