Job Summary

Troubleshoot, repair, re-commission, and maintain field instrumentation for gas turbines, steam turbines, waste heat boilers, and desalination plant auxiliaries. Attend to breakdowns and planned maintenance with minimal supervision, select tools and parts using a computerized maintenance system, and keep accurate maintenance records. Ensure work follows safety and operational requirements, support RCFA for recurring failures, and provide on-the-job training to new craftsmen.

Key Responsibilities

•Attend to power and desalination plant field instrumentation breakdowns and planned maintenance with minimum direction and supervision.
•Technically assess allocated jobs and select the required tools and equipment to complete the work.
•Use the computerized maintenance system to order spare parts and maintain records of completed maintenance.
•Ensure maintenance work is performed according to safety procedures and plant operational requirements.
•Report repeated breakdowns and assist in RCFA to identify solutions; provide on-the-job training to new craftsmen.

Key Requirements

•Diploma or higher secondary qualification.
•Familiarity with maintenance tools and good knowledge of plant safety.
•Experience working in a power or desalination plant with exposure to maintenance and calibration of field instrumentation (pressure, temperature, level, and flow devices).
•Experience with pneumatic/hydraulic valve actuation systems, CO2 fire protection systems, and infrared gas detection systems.
•Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and manuals; knowledge of electrical, electronics, computer, hydraulic, and pneumatic devices.
